Ripley is a 3 year old HL male Chinese Crested. We don't know his history, but he is very shy and fearful. He does warm up to his caregiver but needs lots of TLC. He is also heartworm positive. He is currently in ME and has started his heatworm treatment. He is UTD on all vax and neutered, but will not be available for adoption until successfully completing his heartworm treatment.

6/19/10 Ripley update: Ripley has completed his heartworm treatment! He has also gained some much needed weight and is a healthy boy with an appetite to match. He is slowly, but surely gaining confidence in his foster home, but is still a nervous and shy boy. His forever home will need to be understanding and willing to work with him to help gain confidence. He would do best in a home with another or multiple dogs. He gets along fine with any dog he has met. He needs to wear a belly band in the house as he is a marker. His home needs to be a safe and secure one. He is a smart little guy and will figure out which way is out if given the opportunity! Ripley has a fear of men that his foster mom is working with him on as well. Despite his challenges, Ripley is a very sweet boy and clearly a handsome one. He has made strides and will continue to do so with ongoing patience, confidence building and training. If you enjoy the reward of watching a dog blossom through your care, Ripley is the boy for you!

Ripley is doing great in WV.
He's finally accepted his new male foster. Living in a house with anywhere from 4 to 10 other foster dogs and two cats, Ripley has had plenty of company.
Still prefers his crate to being out, but he no longer has a door on his crate. He will come out for water and a little socializing from time to time. He's also learned "Touch" which is a game I play with him. My finger to his nose.... well HIS Nose to my finger.
He's coming right along.
